After appreciating the landscape of the Rhone river, I was on my way to the Lyon Tourist Information Center to get some ideas of the places I can visit, and buy the Lyon City Pass.
I walked past a typical European street
And along this big road, according to the path Google Maps showed me.
Then I arrived at...
Place Bellecour??
Actually, the Lyon Tourist Center is situated inside Place Bellecour.
It's a fantastic location, because you can see Place Bellecour immediately after getting some information from the Tourist Information Center.
and that was exactly what I went for!
So a tip for traveling to Lyon would be.. "When in doubt, go to Place Bellecour!"
It was a very hot day, so the air-conditioned Lyon Tourist Center was heavenly.
I got what I came for: pamphlets, city map, and Lyon City Pass.
I was enjoying the A/C breeze so much that I decided to plan out some of the places to go before heading back out into the burning heat.
Eventually, I had to drag my body out into the heat.
This was a Cafe or a Restaurant that was located within Place Bellecour.
It could be a good place to eat, if you were starving,
but I was saving it until I make it to the Old Lyon, where it's known to house numerous restaurants.
The funny thing is that Place Bellecour looked much nicer in the photos, than it did in person.
It's most likely that the intense heat was messing with my brain back then.
Regardless, it is a nice plaza with nice space to hang out.
I then spotted a busy area where people seemed to be going to.
I wanted to see the place for myself.
It turned out to be the street with a lot of shops!
One of my favorite places to see when I go on a trip! WooHoo!
The street was called "Rue Victor Hugo" and it was home to many different kinds of stores.
OOh?
"C'est Deux Euros"
So this is the French equivalent of a Dollar Store.
(It was not an awesome discovery, but it was an interesting one.)
And that's when I started to become hungry.
It was time to go to Old Lyon!
