After our trip to Chateau d'If,
we went to Parc Longchamp as our last destination in Marseille.
Everyone was exhausted with heat and a long day outdoors, so my friends and I just looked at the part of the park,
This building was our main deal.
That was actually the rear side of this building, and this is the front.
This building is called Palais Longchamp, and it was built to commemorate the construction of Canal de Marseille.
It is a very beautifully built building.
Such symmetric buildings deserve a couple of shots like these.
It didn't take long to take pictures of and appreciate the architecture of the building, since it was only one building.
The time for us to go back to the train station was slowly approaching, so my friends and I called it a day and returned.
Off to Marseille train station.
and I, of course, took some pictures of Marseille.
bit different from the pictures of the port, aren't they?
Oh, and my friends and I saw some ridiculous people along the way.
There were two people riding a skateboard, while hanging on to a back of the tram.
we found a metro station, took the metro
and finally reached Marseille train station,
Gare de Marseille Saint Charles
and this was our last sight of Marseille...
Adieu Marseille.....
*Cries
Thus we went into the train station.
It was almost dinner time, and since there is no place to find food on TGV, all of us decided to have some food in the train station.
My friends just went for McDonald's
I, on the other hand, always considers McDonald's as a last resort.
I mean, I was in France, I would rather have something that's not available in the U.S.
So I wandered the train station, looking for some food.
Unfortunately, I had to fall back to the last resort...
*cries
do I really have to eat this in France??? :'(
*cries
I'd rather have a kebab instead!!!
Some public places, like this train station have a piano like this.
Anyone can play it, but the ones that actually do play it were absolutely amazing!
I wish I had an instrument that I can play that well...
Anyway, after our fast food dinner.
We boarded the TGV and made our way back to Grenoble, for we had to study during the weekdays once again.
