After touring Notre-Dame de la Garde,
My friends and I went down to the Vieux Port area via the shuttle train/bus, because it was lunch time.
We looked around the shops, looking for a place that seems decent and not to expensive at the same time.
then, we found this
and decided to eat here.
Le Coin Provençal
We were seated at an outdoor table, where there was a nice sunlight shining through
and where we could also easily see the port.
I would never get tired of eating in this setting: by the sea on a sunny day without much wind.
This was the menu (the resolution won't show you enough details though)
I ordered 'Aïoli Marseillais' because according to one friend, Aïoli is the sauce from the Provence region, and I just need to try any local food as long as it doesn't have anything that I can't eat.
One of the friends ordered this.
It doesn't quite seem like a salad, but it still had the best visual appearance.
another friend ordered a salad.
and the rest of us ordered 'Aïoli Marseillais'
It came with various vegetables, seafood, eggs, and aïoli sauce!
Time to eat!
Bon Appetit~!
and... that's how my Aïoli Marseillais ended up.
It was so good that I just had to finish all of it.
It almost feels like it's unfair that French cuisine is so delicious.
These were the desserts my friends ordered.
and I, of course, didn't order one.
But still,
I highly recommend having some Seafood Aïoli when you go to Marseille.
