On the night of June 16th, 2016
So, we decided to spend it by watching a movie at a movie theater in Grenoble.
The movies was very close to the tram station that we got off at.
By the looks of the sign, the movie theater seemed to have a name "PATHE!"
I had no idea what that meant, but the important thing was that it was my first time going to the movies outside of Korea and U.S.
We went inside
This was pretty much what the lobby of the movie theater looked like.
That's how other French people bought tickets and stuff.
...and this was how we did it, with a help from a friend, who was a student of one of the Universities in Grenoble.
Not a huge fan of candies, but this was very impressive.
We watched "Jurrassic World" that night.
One of my Facebook friends told me that "you all should've watched Mad Max instead."
Well, I had no idea what kind of movie they were showing, and I was just happy to go watch a movie after about 4 months of no movie.
They were projecting a poster ad when we were getting seated.
and they showed only a few video ads before screening the movie.
One of the different things of France could be found on the ads of drinks
They had captions, big enough to be easily noticed, on the bottom part of the screen when they were showing drink ads. I'm guessing that the French at least tries to respect the people's right to know.
Anyway, we all wrapped up the day with a movie.
Doing something that you do at your home town, somewhere else gives new feel to such experience, and I personally think it is worth trying.
