[Ansan Valley Rock Festival 2015 - Day 1] Siheung city and 7 Hz Hotel

My summer and Fall semester so far has been really busy. (It still is)
but, I think I should really catch up with my blogging (too much procrastination!!) , so I'll tell you about what happened this summer, right after reaching home after my summer abroad in Grenoble.

Honestly, I wasn't really planning on going home after my summer abroad in Grenoble, France.
I was thinking of returning back to Chapel Hill, due to various reasons (MERS outbreak in Korea is one of them).
However!

This changed everything and gave me a reason to go home!

Well...

It was these four to be more specific.

Anyway, I took a flight back home, and a few days later...
July 24th, 2015
The day of the Ansan M Valley Rock Festival had finally arrived.

Earlier that day, I met up with my high school friend, Jin, at Sadang station and took the southbound metro line 4.

Our stop was Jungwang station, which was 1 station before the terminal station.

After getting out of the metro station,

 we walked

and walked southward for quite a while...

and, of course, it was raining.
what a terrific weather for music festival.

 after reaching this gas station

we turned right and continued walking.
I'm sorry that this post is all about walking. But that's how it really was.
Lots and lots of walking.

and then we finally reached our hotel.

It was called 7 Hz Hotel.

We checked in.
Well, Jin did. He was the one who booked through Agoda.com

Not a lot of Korean hotels (especially the ones that are cheaper or outside of Seoul) can be booked online. So, if you're thinking of coming to Korea, get a friend who is familiar with Korea or Korean, or use Agoda.com

We got our key, and we went up to our room.

 ....

AAAAWWWWW YEEEAAA!!!

That was unexpected.
Jin booked a double room, but we got an extra single bed for unknown reason.
Hey, I wasn't even mad.

Unfortunately, only one of us could sleep on the larger bed.
So we let best 2 out of 3 rock paper scissors decide.
which I won by the way.

It had the basic necessities of a hotel, which I wasn't really expecting much since it was quite a cheap hotel.

Anyway, after unpacking a little bit and preparing for the music festival.

Jin and I headed back outside.

but before Jin and I headed over to Ansan M Valley Rock Festival, we had some Korean food for lunch at Food House.

After that, we headed to Daebudo, a small island on which the music festival was held.

to be continued...
