Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra live @ Chapel Hill

September 28th, 2014
It was already the day for the second Carolina Performing Arts concert I purchased the ticket for.
Time sure flies, especially when I'm enjoying every moment.

I think it's already halfway through the Fall semester right now as I post this.

Anyway, I was in front of the Memorial Hall in about 1 months after the Rebirth Brass Band & Dumpstaphunk concert.

I thought this food truck & drink stand was a special thing for first Carolina Performing Arts performance.
I guess they're just doing this for every concert starting this Fall.

Well, time to retrieve my ticket!

Here it is!
I was here to see Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra perform that night.

One of the best things about being a UNC student is the student discount on Carolina Performing Arts shows.
Normally, performances like this one would cost somewhere around $100, but I got to see this for $10!! All thanks to the student discount! :D

This time, my friends and I chose seats on the 2nd floor.

This was my first time coming up to the second floor of Memorial Hall
I was eager to see what the view is like on the balcony.

!!!!!
The view was amazing!
Since this was a symphony orchestra's concert, the balcony seat allowed me and my friends to see the entire orchestra.
I mean from downstairs, I don't think it's possible to see the percussionists at the back of the stage.

What a luck!

Oh, and my roommate and I were sitting at the first row on the balcony.
H**l Yeah!!

All this while I've never known this existed in this place.

I took some pictures of the musicians warming themselves up for the concert.
Besides, this is the only time I was allowed to take pictures; when they were not actually performing.

Then the concert began.... which has nothing to do with this picture.

This was taken during the intermission.
The Piano was only for the second piece.

Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra seemed to me like a pretty famous orchestra.
They performed for 2 nights here at Chapel Hill.
My roommate and I came to see the first night's performance.

Round of applause for Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra for pulling off such an amazing performance.

Oh... Goodness....
Manually focusing using the view finder is always ridiculously difficult.
Well, I re-adjusted it, so I won't have any problems with it from now on.... right?

Orchestral music isn't that exciting, but it has its own appeal.
It gives me the chills when I'm listening to its epic compositions.

and yes, I did enjoy this concert.
